Press Release (December 26, 2022)
Tourism Department, Kobe Convention & Visitors Bureau
Objective
Infiorata” means “to lay flowers” in Italian, and is an event in which people paint picturesque patterns on streets and squares with flower petals and appreciate them.
In Kobe, the event was held for the first time in 1997 (Heisei 9) to beautify the city damaged by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. It has become an established spring event in Kobe, where the city is decorated with tulip petals, and this year will mark the 25th time it has been held.
This year’s event is scheduled to be held from April 22 (Saturday), and we are pleased to announce the dates and locations of the four venues in the city (three venues in the previous event).
*The period of the event may be changed or cancelled at short notice depending on the situation of the new coronavirus infection and other circumstances. In the event of a change or cancellation, a separate announcement will be made.
