A lunch course using local ingredients and a wine seminar will be held at The Garden Place Suzuen (Higashinada-ku, Kobe) on February 10. Reservations are required and the number of participants is limited to 50.
This event is a joint project of Machimarche Mikage, Kobe Wine, and The Garden Place Suzhuen. Visitors can enjoy Kobe’s foodstuffs while admiring the beautiful Japanese garden.
The lunch course will be prepared by Chef Yuji Shirai of Suzuen, using local ingredients from Machimarche Mikage, a farmers market operated by JA Hyogo Rokko (Higashinada-ku, Kobe).
To accompany the meal, you can taste “Benediction,” a Kobe wine brewed at Kobe Winery (Nishi-ku, Kobe City) using only Kobe-grown grapes. Wine seminars are also available, so even wine novices can participate with ease.

The event will be held in conjunction with JA Hyogo Rokko, Kobe Wine and The Garden Place Suzhouen, and will offer a sumptuous lunch course with a view of the beautiful Japanese garden. <A word from the reporter>
This is a rare opportunity to experience the pairing of local food and wine. I’m also anxious to try the chef’s special lunch at Suzhou Garden! Even wine beginners can feel free to participate…
