Not only fun snow play but also a warm children’s cafeteria “Snow Play for Everyone in

On February 12, “Snow Play in Hyogo-eki Minami Park Play Park” will be held at Hyogo-eki Minami Park in Hyogo Ward, Kobe City. Admission is free.

The event is part of the 2022 Hyogo-ward Children’s Project of the Children’s Festa Executive Committee, which aims to realize a “child-friendly town and a town where children take the leading role” by creating a place where children can play an active role through a network of adults, making the most of the public space of a park. The event was planned as one of the projects of the 2022 Hyogo Ward Children’s Project.
On the day of the event, three truckloads of snow were delivered from Shion Onsen Town, Hyogo Prefecture, to create a snow plaza. The venue is equipped with devices to draw out children’s free creativity, and the adults who watch over them support them to do whatever they feel they want to do or find interesting.

Lunch is served free of charge to children as part of the Kodomo Shokudo (Children’s Cafeteria) initiative, but adults can also eat together for a cooperation fee of 300 yen. The “Kodomo Festa Shokudo” is also held regularly in conjunction with the play park, which is scheduled to be held on the second Sunday of every month.

The Children’s Festa Shokudo is an initiative to create a safe place for children to spend time in addition to their homes and schools. As a parent raising children, I would like to pass on the warmth of a traditional community to my own children.
