The “2nd Kobe Winery BICYCLE DAY” will be held on March 26 at “Kobe Winery” in Nishi-ku, Kobe City. Entries will be accepted until March 19 (the event will close as soon as it reaches the maximum number of participants).
Test your mettle on a bicycle!
Kobe Winery” is located on a small hill rich in nature in Kobe City’s Nishi Ward, an area easily accessible from the center of Kobe City, where many cyclists come and go on weekends.
In this event, cyclists ride a circular course (approximately 1.8 km per lap) around the Kobe Winery for a predetermined number of laps and time. The climbs and descents, which come quickly, are said to be very challenging.
Participants vary in age and gender.
In addition to age-specific categories such as the “Kids Race” for first- to sixth-graders, and the “Hardworking Uncle Class” for those between 45 and 59 years old, the event is also developed to suit the level of participants, including those who want to ride hard and those who can participate as a team. Beginners are also supported by active athletes. Teams and individuals who achieve excellent results will receive wine and grape juice from Kobe Winery.
Categories are tailored to age and level, so beginners needn’t worry!
Other events will be held at the venue. There will also be free test-rides of kids’ sports bikes, a helmet wearing and sales event to coincide with the helmet mandate starting April 1, a workshop where you can have your photo taken with a 100-year-old bicycle with large wheels, and a photo monument created by students of Kobe Design University.
Strawberry picking by bicycle will also be held!
