On June 10 and 11, Kobe Meriken Park (Chuo Ward, Kobe City) will host “Kobe Expo,” an event led by local students. Admission is free.
The event’s organizing committee is comprised mainly of university students, and together with local businesses and stores, the event aims to connect all generations living in the area, as well as their thoughts on the region and its recovery. The day will feature a lineup of gourmet foods, a kids’ area, stage contents, and corporate exhibits.

In the gourmet food area, about 16 “delicious Kobe restaurants” will gather. There will be “cielo kitchen” selling beef curry and rice flour doughnuts, “liberal kitchen cars” selling long fries, and a corner where university students will be making candy and waffles.
Balloon Art
The kids’ area will be full of fun activities for children and families. In the “Balloon Art” area, balloon artist Tecchi will be on hand to show off his spectacular skills up close.
There will also be “lantern painting” and “wanage,” where you can make your own lanterns, and a “stamp rally” where you can collect stamps and win prizes.

The stage events include a powerful match of “KOBE Meriken Pro Wrestling,” a performance by “GhannaGhanna,” a Kobe University a cappella circle, and a “bingo tournament” where you can win gorgeous prizes.
The event also features a “lantern tower” as an event to connect people’s thoughts toward the region and reconstruction, and a “Yosegaki (collection of messages)” board where visitors can write messages for the future on a board. <
The theme of the event is “Connecting the community with the power of youth. The students’ innovative ideas and powerful energy are sure to bring a lot of excitement on the day of the event. The wrestling matches will be hot even for adults!
