Kobe City: Suspension of the Rokko City Marathon in FY2023

Overview

The Rokko City Marathon, which

started in 1990, soon after the opening of Rokko Island, is a marathon event consisting of a family type and a 10 km course certified by the JAAF. The Rokko City Marathon was scheduled to be held in 2023, but due to construction work scheduled for a portion of the course, we considered changing the course, but decided to suspend the event in consideration of operational issues.
We would like to ask for the understanding of all runners who had been looking forward to this event, as well as all related organizations that have cooperated with us in organizing this event.
We will announce the next and subsequent years’ event as soon as a decision is made.
