On April 3, “Cresel’s Secret Base,” a day-care center for school-age children, will open at the Sports School Cresel Studio (TEL 078-843-5755 ) on the first floor of Sunshine Wharf Kobe (1 Aoki, Higashinada-ku, Kobe City). It is operated by “Sports School Cresel (General Incorporated Association Cocololo).
Support for homework and independent study will also be provided.
The facility covers an area of approximately 100 square meters, equipped with basketball and soccer goals. Transportation will be provided from the school to the facility, and during the stay, support for homework and independent study, board games, puzzles, blocks, programming, crafts, athletic games, and various sports will be offered, as well as snack time.
The program is small, with approximately 8 students per day, and is intended for new 1st and 2nd graders (consultation required for older students). Outdoor events such as agricultural experiences, camping, and camps are also planned.
On February 25 (16:30-17:30) and March 5 (11:00-12:00), information sessions will be held at “Community Hall A” on the 2nd floor. Participation requires advance reservations. Reservations must be made in advance and will be accepted by phone and e-mail.
Midori Sato, manager of the facility, said, “Through our unique “Sports Gakko” curriculum, which focuses on sports, we will develop children’s spontaneity and positivity, and nurture their intellectual curiosity by allowing them to learn in a spontaneous manner. We want to create a place where children can feel at home outside of the home and school, and a place where they can learn about communication and human relations,” he says.
Open from 14:50 to 17:30. Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Initial fees include an admission fee of 19,800 yen and an insurance fee of 800 yen. Monthly fees are: basic fee = 26,400 yen for 3 times a week, 19,200 yen for 2 times a week; snack = 3,300 yen for 3 times a week, 2,200 yen for 2 times a week; transportation from school = 3,000 yen for 3 times a week, 2,000 yen for 2 times a week.
After school care (5:30 p.m. – 6:20 p.m.), children are welcome to attend various schools. Monday = programming class, Tuesday = “Bat-Spo,” a “battle play” class for children, Wednesday = “Ballschule,” a ball playing class originated in Germany, Thursday = soccer class, and Friday = basketball class. Monthly fees for the school are: three times a week = 13,200 yen, twice a week = 9,900 yen, and once a week = 6,600 yen.
