Although the effects of the new coronavirus have continued for a long time, I am sincerely grateful for the understanding and cooperation of the organizers, sponsors, volunteers, local residents, and all the participating athletes who have made it possible to hold the marathon safely.
We hope that through the Kobe Marathon, all participants will feel the connection with others and the joy of running, and that each and every one of you will enjoy yourselves while participating in the race. I look forward to working with you all on the day of the marathon.

Comments on the Kobe Marathon
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the Kobe Marathon 2023 as a guest runner.
On May 8, it was decided that the new coronavirus will be moved to category 5 under the Infectious Disease Control Law, and normal life will finally return.
For more than two years since 2020, direct connections between people have diminished. This year’s Kobe Marathon is sure to be an event that will reconnect people and further raise health awareness.
On November 19, the city of Kobe will be filled with tens of thousands of runners and many times that number of Kobe citizens cheering them on enthusiastically, sending a message of “gratitude and friendship” to the world.
