On March 11, the event “A Walk in the Snow at Asahiyama Zoo” will be held at “Children’s Book Forest Kobe” (Chuo-ku, Kobe).
Take a peek at the animals online!
Children’s Book Forest Kobe” is a cultural facility where visitors can freely interact with a variety of books, including picture books, illustrated books, and foreign language books, regardless of the target age range. The facility was created with a donation from architect Tadao Ando, and its beauty is one of its charms.
The event will be held by connecting Asahiyama Zoo (Hokkaido), the northernmost zoo in Japan, and the facility online, allowing visitors to “take a walk with the zoo” while listening to the zoo’s director, Mr. Bando. Visitors can take a peek at Asahiyama Zoo in real time.
They connect the children and the zoo by using a projector to project the zoo onto a screen in the museum.
How do animals such as seals, penguins, and polar bears live in the zoo in the cold snow…? You may get to see animals that you can’t see in Kobe!
Admission is free. Advance reservations are required and will be accepted until the 23rd. <
“Too good to be true” is one word for this event! I want to participate too. This is an event where you can easily see animals in the cold, and it is sure to be exciting for adults and children alike! Seeing the cute animals will make you want to visit the zoo
