A special exhibition, “Fishing Sumai – Fun Fishing Trip with Preparation and Manners,” is being held at Kobe Municipal Suma Seaside Aquarium (Suma-ku, Kobe) from March 11, 2012 until April 9, 2012.
Kyusen
The theme of the exhibition is “sea fishing,” one of the most popular activities in Kobe, a port city, and the panels provide information on everything you need to know to enjoy fishing, from “preparation in advance” to “rules and manners” to be observed on the spot. The panels explain everything you need to know to enjoy fishing, from “preparation” to “rules and manners”.
Scorpionfish
This exhibition was planned to coincide with the arrival of the spring holiday season.
In addition to the panel displays, about 15 exhibits of five species of living creatures that can actually be caught in the Kobe sea, such as “scorpionfish” and “cucumber,” are on display at the exhibition booth on the second floor of the main building, where the exhibition is held. <A word from the reporter:
I am from a prefecture with no sea and have only river fishing experience, but I think the time may have come for me to make my “sea fishing debut,” something I have long wanted to do! I would like to prepare myself for the real thing by keeping my eyes firmly fixed on the fish I can actually catch ^ ^
