On May 5, “Chibikko Disaster Prevention Fair” will be held at “Port Island Shimin Hiroba” in Chuo Ward, Kobe City. Admission is free.
A large collection of working vehicles will be on display!
This event is sponsored by Kobe Portopia Hotel, the designated manager of Port Island Civic Plaza. With the cooperation of the Kobe Waterfront Police Station and the Kobe City Waterfront Fire Department, police cars, police motorcycles, ambulances, fire trucks, and other working vehicles will be on display.

In addition, visitors can enjoy taking pictures wearing children’s size police uniforms and firefighting uniforms. There will also be traffic safety classes, talks on familiar crimes, and a corner where visitors can learn more about crime prevention, disaster prevention, and first aid through hands-on experiences such as using a water fire extinguisher, experiencing smoke, and learning about AEDs.

In addition, a rope descent demonstration by the Fire Rescue Team will be held from 1:30 p.m., and a performance by the Firefighters’ Band will be held from 2:30 p.m. ＜A word from the reporter:
