Kobe City: Donation to Kobe Luminarie

Kobe Luminarie was first held in December 1995, the year of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, as a symbol of the repose of the souls of the victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, as well as of dreams and hopes for the reconstruction and revival of the city. Since then, the event has been supported by many people as an event to pass on the memory of the earthquake to future generations and symbolize the hope of Kobe.

Toward the Continuation of Kobe Luminarie

Kobe Luminarie has been able to be held to date thanks to the understanding and cooperation of many businesses, citizens, and visitors. However, the revenue has continued to decline and we are now in a very difficult situation financially.
In light of this situation, we ask for your warm support for the Kobe Luminarie. Donations will be used for the production of Luminarie artworks, security, and other event operations.

(*) Kobe Luminarie from 2020 to 2022 has been cancelled due to the effects of the new type of coronavirus infection. Donations will be used for the next and subsequent Luminarie.
