The “Minato Hanabi – 2023 – Five Days of Colors in Kobe” will be held at Meriken Park in Kobe’s Chuo Ward for five days from October 16 to 20. Admission is free.
This year’s event will again be held as a decentralized event.
The “Minato Kobe Marine Fireworks Festival” has been held since 1971 and has become a major event for the residents of the prefecture. Due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the event was cancelled after the 49th event in 2019.
Although the plan was to hold a trial distributed fireworks event in 2020 and 2021, it was cancelled because there were no signs of the infection being controlled and it was difficult to secure sufficient viewing sites due to the redevelopment of the “Kobe Waterfront” area. Last year, for the first time, a dispersed fireworks event was held, and it was a great success.
From now on, the event will be officially reorganized and held as a dispersed event. This year, about 700 fireworks will be launched every day during the festival, and there will also be “music fireworks” to enjoy the synchronization of music and fireworks. <A word from the reporter>
Every day during the period, we can enjoy looking up at the sky at this time! I am also interested in the music fireworks!
