Re-Design Book Project by VIVITA BOOKS” will be held on June 3, 17, July 1, and 15 at “Kodomo Hon no Mori Kobe” in Chuo-ku, Kobe City. Advance registration is required.
The books will be redesigned with children’s ideas!
In this event, children will select a book of their choice from among the books collected at the facility, develop an image of what they like about the book and its contents, and come up with a new book binding. Bookbinding refers to the design of the elements that make up a book, such as the cover, front cover, obi, and door.
In order to give shape to their ideas, participants work in teams with students from Kobe Design University to create a new design for the book binding they have created. The completed books will be exhibited at Children’s Book Forest Kobe during the summer vacation.
The person in charge of the project says, “This is a special opportunity to redesign a book binding and have visitors actually hold the book in their hands! We hope you will join us! <
It seems that the children’s rich imagination can be used to create a completely different book design!
