At the Community Welfare Centers located in each elementary school district, various activities are held to connect people in the community, such as Fureai Salons (coffee shops), Fureai Meals, cooking classes, and child-rearing circles. Please contact the Community Welfare Center directly for information on activities and how to use them.
In each community, community associations, women’s associations, councils of commissioned welfare volunteers and child welfare volunteers, senior citizens’ clubs, children’s associations, youth development councils, PTAs, and volunteer groups voluntarily form “Fureai no Machizukuri Council” to manage the Community Welfare Center, which also serves as the center’s base for community welfare activities and exchanges. The Council also plans and implements local welfare and exchange activities using the Community Welfare Center as a base.
In some cases, the use of rooms at the Community Welfare Center requires an operation cooperation fee in accordance with the rules for use.
The management cooperation fund and subsidies from the city are used to operate the Community Welfare Center and to carry out activities in various fields such as welfare, environment, disaster prevention, and education, which the Fureai Community Development Council is proactively engaged in.
