A market event, “Vol. 7 Harmonia Kobe Kitano,” will be held on May 28 at Schueke Residence, an ijinkan in Kitano, Kobe.
The event started in 2016 with the aim of revitalizing the Kitano area. More than 30 stores will be lined up at the venue under the themes of healing, beauty, art, health (food), and spirituality.
The venue, “Schueke Residence,” is known for its Gothic-inspired colonial style and a garden that blends Japanese and Western styles with stone lanterns placed on the lawn, and is an exotic space where visitors can enjoy a diverse mix of cultures unique to Kobe.
The event will feature a wide variety of lineup including healthy food and beverages, massages, accessories and healing goods, Israeli stationery, and African goods, as well as booths for children and experience booths such as flower arrangement and make-up for good luck.
The first 50 visitors will also receive a free bottle of Israeli Dead Sea salt, which can be used as bath salt. <
The Schuecke family still uses the house as their own residence, and only the garden and a part of the first floor are open to the public. This is the first time in 14 years that the interior will be open to the public.
