　On June 1, the karaoke bar “Seishun Uta Shubaba” (1 Kitanagasadori, Chuo-ku, Kobe; Tel: 078-945-9900) opened on the 5th floor of the Angel Building on Sankita-dori in Sannomiya, Kobe.

　The bar is a sister bar to Ryu’z DINIG (4 Kanocho), a karaoke bar in Kitanozaka. The concept is “a karaoke bar where all customers and staff can enjoy themselves with a sense of togetherness.

　The restaurant has a floor space of approximately 24 tsubo. It has 6 counter seats and 24 table seats. The store is decorated with brick wallpaper to create a relaxed atmosphere, and is equipped with a neon sign, a stage, and a darts machine.

　Kenji Masuya, the restaurant’s owner, says, “From the counter where the staff is located, you can see all the seats, and the space is large enough that you can immediately rush to the customer seats.

　Masuya-san was born in Saitama Prefecture. After graduating from high school, he worked at a bar in Tokyo before being put in charge of opening a new restaurant in Kobe. He was attracted to the city of Kobe and became an independent restaurant manager. He has managed several restaurants in the Sannomiya area, but due to the effects of the new coronavirus infection, he was forced to close the other restaurants, leaving only “Ryu’z DINIG “1.

　Masuya-san is enthusiastic, saying, “I want to make this restaurant a place that can cheer up the restaurants in Sannomiya that have been depressed by the new type of corona.

　The fee system is a 500 yen charge (including all-you-can-sing karaoke and charms). Drinks include draft beer, chuhai, ume sake, highballs (600 yen), cocktails (from 700 yen), and soft drinks (500 yen). An all-you-can-drink (120 minutes for 3,000 yen) is also available.

　The food menu includes “Pizza Margherita” (950 yen), “Seafood Ahi Gio (with bucket)” (880 yen), and “Bolognese Pasta” (980 yen).

　Mr. Masuya says, “I want people to enjoy communication with others and a sense of presence, which is the greatest appeal of a karaoke bar and cannot be experienced in a karaoke box where you enjoy a private room. We also have a wide variety of alcoholic beverages so that customers can use the bar alone. We hope to provide the fun of an amusement park by offering not only karaoke but also darts and party games,” he says.
