Berst Suzurandai” (Kita-ku, Kobe), located right next to Suzurandai Station on the Kobe Electric Railway line, will host the “9th My Town Words” event on the theme of words and books on July 16, and a pre-event will be held on July 12. Admission is free.
The event, which will be held for the ninth time this year, is based on the concept of “enjoying the town through words” in Suzurandai.

At the pre-event, Mr. Masukawa, the owner of “Honya Wawa” who has a store in Suzurandai, will hold his first “Ehon Ohanashi Kai” (storytelling with picture books), a music unit will perform, and a workshop will be held to draw a picture of the future! workshops, and more.
On July 16, the main day of the festival, a special stage will be set up and the event will begin at 10:00. On the stage, there will be a picture-story show, a story-telling session, a balloon show by Denchan the clown and his funny friends, and a live performance by the guitar club of Suzurandai High School, “SUZUROCK!
In addition, the “One Box Used Book Fair,” in which each person brings a box of used books to sell, and the “Children’s Clothing Exchange,” will offer a wide variety of events for both children and adults to enjoy.
