Drink! Eat! Laugh! Food and music festival in a park at night, Higashi Yuu in Sannomiya

On July 15, 16, and 17, “NIGHT PICNIC,” a public nightlife event featuring Kobe’s food and culture, will be held at Higashi Yuenchi in Sannomiya as part of the “Kobe Night Market,” a stay-and-go tourism project that takes advantage of Kobe’s unique atmosphere. Hours are from 16:00 to 21:00, and admission is free.

The theme of the first picnic is “Food and Music for Picnic. Gather in the park at night to “drink,” “eat,” “laugh,” and “listen, The event proposes a public nightlife where people can enjoy the season and culture. Starting with this event, the festival will be held once a month until November.

The festival will be held for the first time at Higashi-Yuenchi, which has just been renovated this spring. People from all walks of life will gather at the convenient location of the park in the heart of the city and enjoy food, drink, and music in an open outdoor space.

Music live performances will be performed by BimBomBam Band feat. Sarah Maeda on the 15th, Hiiragi Sakai Trio and S.S.C.Q. on the 16th, and Kohji Matsuda (Nouvelle Dimension) and Penny (jazz in F-5) will be in the DJ booth on the 17th.

Talk events with invited guests will also be held, with the content changing daily: “About the City of Kobe” by Hirokazu Nagata and Gouei Murakami on the 15th, “Growing Music in the City” by Soji Fukuoka and Shota Lee on the 16th, and “Oyako-Hiji for Adults to Enjoy” by Mai Ogasawara and Nao Kayama on the 17th.

To allow children to enjoy the evening park events together, a relaxing space exclusively for children with childcare staff on hand will also be opened. A children’s program and toy square will also be available. (500 yen for 30 minutes, tax included)
