On August 26, the 36th RIC Summer Evening Carnival, an annual summer festival on Kobe’s Rokko Island, will be held in the River Mall Park area (Higashinada-ku, Kobe). Admission is free.
The event will feature three stages, the River Mall Special Stage, the Turret Stage, and the Event Plaza, with performance performances such as Bon Dancing, dancing, and musical performances. The “Children’s Mikoshi Parade,” in which local children carry handmade mikoshi (portable shrines), parades through the venue, adding to the festive atmosphere of the Rokuai summer festival. The mikoshi will be displayed in the plaza in front of the entrance of the Kobe Fashion Museum after the parade.
In addition, there will be food stalls featuring local delicacies such as roasted pork and home-brewed craft beer, as well as traditional fairs such as goldfish scooping, yo-yo fishing, and Senbon-drawing. <A word from the reporter>
I am very happy that summer festivals will be held in many places this year! I want to enjoy the hot summer with my children.
