A different look from daytime! Rokko-michi South Park, a light event for men and women of all ages

Nada Yume Nariye” will be held on September 16 at Rokko-michi South Park (Nada-ku, Kobe), located south of JR Rokko-michi Station. Admission is free.

The theme of this year’s event, the 21st of its kind, is “Deai, Fureai, Sasaeai: Nada Iro ni Tsurete (Dye with the Color of Nada). Local university students will create lanterns depicting “memories of Nada” of each resident of the ward, based on the theme. The lanterns will light up and color the night of Nada Ward in a spectacular way.

The event is scheduled to run from 3pm to 7:30pm, with booths for children from 3pm to 5:30pm.” Let’s play in the evening! Nadakko” booth will feature a game corner with games such as wanage and strikeout, as well as an “Akari Workshop” by university students.

The main “Akari Exhibition” is scheduled to start at 5:30 pm.

Approximately 1,200 paper lanterns and 100 sake bottle lamps will be set up to illuminate the venue, and from 6:00 p.m. Nada’s Bon Odori will be performed to further enliven the event. Participants are welcome to jump in and join in the Bon Odori dance.

There will be no food or drink booths, but there will be a “Nada Treasures Exhibition” looking back on the history of Nada Ward and a Red Cross fund-raising corner, making this an event where people of all ages and both sexes can enjoy the evening under the warm glow of the lights.

In case of rain, only the light exhibition will be postponed to the next day, the 17th.

I’m excited now because I couldn’t see it last year. There are many good restaurants in this area, so it will be nice to have dinner nearby after having fun at the venue.
