Press Release (September 12, 2023)
Children and Families Bureau, Child Future Division
There are 120 children’s halls in Kobe City. Children’s Halls are facilities that provide support for play and daily life and child-raising in the community, where children and their parents can play freely, and also offer various programs and community exchange programs to support child-raising.
The term “children” and the fact that it is a place for after-school care give the impression that it is a place for elementary school students to spend time after school, but it is a facility that can be used by any child from 0 to 18 years of age. Anyone can go there whenever they want, and the children’s halls offer uninterrupted support for child rearing, including playgrounds, outings with infants and toddlers, and consultation services for pregnant women and new parents.
We are seeking a nickname for the facility so that the image of the children’s center will become more familiar to many people in a more casual manner.
