Kobe City: Effective Utilization of Waterworks Bureau Assets – Former Eastern Center to be used as a temporary Hyogo Prefectural Office Building

[Overview and Background]

The

former Eastern Center of the Waterworks Bureau has been vacant since FY2023 as a result of business reorganization.
The Waterworks Bureau has been studying the possibility of utilizing the facility as soon as possible, and has decided to lease it to Hyogo Prefecture as a temporary relocation site during the construction period of the main building to prevent the aging of the main building. We will cooperate with Hyogo Prefecture’s project from the viewpoint of prefectural and municipal cooperation.

1. Outline of the facility of the former Eastern Center

5-3-23 Tanaka-cho, Higashinada-ku, Kobe (approx. 600m from JR Sumiyoshi Station)

2. Details of the loan to Hyogo Prefecture (planned ) Lease

period: FY2024-2025
