About 200,000 books and paper goods are gathered in the precincts of the shrine! In the precincts of Nishinomiya Shrine

The “Ebessan Used Book Festival” will be held at Nishinomiya Shrine (Nishinomiya City) for five days from November 23 to 27.

The “Hyogo Great Used Book Fair” was held at Kobe Sannomiya Sambo Hall until two years ago, and the “Hyogo Used Book Study Group,” a group of young people from Hyogo, has planned to hold the fair at a new venue this year. Twenty-two antiquarian bookstores from not only Hyogo Prefecture but also Osaka, Kyoto, Okayama, and Hiroshima will come together to sell approximately 200,000 books, postcards, and historical documents.

The organizer says, “You may find surprising bargains as 22 antiquarian bookstores will display their antiquarian books in a cramped space within the precincts of Nishinomiya Shrine. We hope that visitors will enjoy the combination of secondhand books in the liberating yet tranquil space of Nishinomiya Shrine.

The used book market is a place where people who are not familiar with used book fairs can easily pick up books and magazines, as well as rare books that are sure to satisfy even the most discerning collector. In addition to literature, art, history, local magazines, and war-related books, there are paperbacks such as retro postcards and movie posters, rare military and railroad-related books, Showa-era manga, art photo collections, subcultures, and other genres. There will also be books for children, such as picture books and children’s books, which will be enjoyable for children.
