The 49th “KOBE Rokko Zenzan Zentoroku/Half-mountain Hiking Tournament” (sponsored by Rokko Zenzan Hiking Citizens’ Association and Kobe City) will be held at last.
The event, which started in 1975, is a unique event in Kobe, where the national park Mt. Rokko is located. Although the Corona disaster forced the cancellation of the event, the traverse of the entire mountain was revived last year, and this year, the half traverse was revived.
This event is not a speed competition. It is not a competition for speed, but rather a long and arduous walk by approximately 2,800 men and women of all ages from all over Japan, who help each other to reach the goal.
