The “2023 Hyogo International House International Exchange Festival” will be held on December 2 at the Hyogo International House in Chuo Ward, Kobe City. The event will be held rain or shine, and admission is free.
Opened in March 1999 as a dormitory for international students, the facility has served as a base for international exchange and has hosted various international exchange events for international students and local residents. For the past few years, the event has been held online or as a hybrid of face-to-face and online due to measures to prevent new coronavirus infection, but for the first time in four years, it will be held completely face-to-face.
Kitchen cars will be set up at the venue, and a world food court will be set up where visitors can taste local gourmet foods from various countries and regions.
There will also be a collaboration project where you can enjoy African percussion and Japanese drums together, a stamp rally where you can collect stamps and try to win prizes, a hands-on space, and a world market with folk crafts from all over the world.
On the stage, tap dancing, Awa Odori dance, classical trio, and performances by residents of the Hyogo International House will enliven the event.
<A word from the reporter:
