The “2024 Hyogo Prefectural Police New Year’s Review Ceremony” will be held at Meriken Park (Chuo Ward, Kobe City) on January 5. Free admission.
The Hyogo Prefectural Police, which upholds the basic principle of “a strong police force to protect the safety of the citizens of the prefecture,” holds this annual event to raise the morale of police officers. About 350 police officers representing the prefectural police march in unison and parade in police cars and motorcycles.
In the latter half of the ceremony, the “Hyogo Prefectural Police Band” will give a drill performance, and the “motorcycle squad” will make a technical run, among other attractions.
There will also be booths where visitors can have their pictures taken riding on a motorcycle or in a police car, and a “petting corner” with police dogs, where both children and adults can have fun.
<A word from the reporter:
Even if you see a police car or motorcycle, you usually don’t get a chance to look at them closely (even though they have done nothing wrong…strange). (Even though they are not doing anything wrong…) So on this day, I will be able to get a closer look and take some great photos!
