KOBE Delight Fountain” will be held at Hana-Toki Plaza (Chuo Ward, Kobe City) on the south side of Higashi-Yuenchi Park in Sannomiya until January 28. Admission is free.
The event, sponsored by leading food and beverage companies in the Kobe-Hanshin area, began in 2015 at Higashi Yuenchi, the site of the Kobe Luminarie. Due to the cancellation of the Corona Disaster in recent years, the event will be held for the first time in four years as well as the Luminarie.
On the stage, there will be various stage programs that are typical of the music city of Kobe, changing daily, including performances by musicians full of individuality of “Kobe Jazz,” loved by all generations, and “flute” concerts, another representative of Kobe’s musical culture.
In addition to the singing of past queens of the Kobe Shinkaichi Jazz Vocal Contest and performances by the Takarazuka Flute Society “Violette Lien,”
world-class violinist Mauro Iurato is scheduled to perform on the 20th.
Also, 9 companies that promote the appeal of food in the Hanshin area, such as Henri Charpentier, UCC Ueshima Coffee, Kobe Croquette, Toyo Nuts, Donk, Lao Shoki, MCC, Kenrishi Shuzo, and QBB, will be present at the gourmet booths. The booths will feature original products that can only be tasted at the Kobe Delight Fountain, as well as other prized items from each company.
The organizer of this year’s event hopes that visitors will ” enjoy a rare opportunity to appreciate Kobe’s culinary culture while listening to Kobe’s unique music amidst the beautiful illumination.
<A word from the reporter:
Each company participating in the KOBE Delight Fountain will donate a portion of the proceeds to Ishikawa Prefecture to help those affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. This is a reminder of the original significance of Luminarie, which began as a memorial and recovery effort.
