The Higashinada Citizens’ Water Discharge Festival will be held to express condolences to the victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and to renew our commitment to disaster prevention. Starting from this year, Junior Disaster Prevention Team members will pledge the “Pledge” in order to pass on the lessons of the earthquake to the younger generation.
The Higashi Nada Citizens’ Water Discharge Contest will be held by the disaster prevention and welfare community in Higashinada Ward to express condolences to the victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and to renew their commitment to disaster prevention. A total of 47 members of the Junior Disaster Prevention Team from Uozaki Junior High School, Koyo Junior High School, Sumiyoshi Junior High School, and Honjo Junior High School will participate in this year’s event to pass on the lessons of the earthquake to the younger generation, and will pledge the “Pledge of Allegiance.

Part
1 “Ceremony” 10:00-10:20
– Address by Deputy Mayor
– Pledge (junior disaster prevention team) etc.
Part 2 “Simultaneous Water Release” 10:20 – 10:40
・Simultaneous water discharge by 24 participating groups and general participants
*Trial booths (cooking and tasting emergency food, etc.) will be held from 10:00 to 12:00.
