Kobepipo is an abbreviation for “Kobe People,” and was launched in 2017 (Heisei 29), the 150th anniversary of the opening of the port of Kobe. This unique character brand offers sundry goods and stationery with motifs of people and the city with Kobe’s famous landmarks in the background. It is spreading as a new Kobe souvenir in the form of novelty goods and collaborations with industry, government, and academia.
Kobepipo currently has 36 characters of various ages, genders, and backgrounds.
