Tarumi Elementary School, Kobe City
Our school has been engaged in disaster prevention learning during the integrated study period. As part of the disaster prevention study, Mr. MOMO, a professional guitarist and a graduate of our school who won the Fingerstyle World Competition last year, will hold a live guitar concert to convey to the students how grateful we are for everyday life and family in the wake of the recent Noto Peninsula earthquake.

When she was in the second grade of elementary school, she encountered the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. He saw his father, a jazz pianist at the time, carrying a piano and giving comfort concerts at evacuation centers. In 2009, she started to play guitar professionally with her father, a jazz pianist, and in 2023, she won the “International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship” held in the U.S., becoming the world’s number one acoustic guitarist.
