Kobe City Kasugano Elementary School
Due to the aging of the school building, our school is undergoing reconstruction and renovation work. In order to say goodbye to the school building and playground that have held so many memories for us, we have been undertaking various initiatives as the “Sakura Project. Sixth graders who are about to graduate will learn about the school buildings and playgrounds they have taken care of and the school buildings that will be constructed, hear from those involved in the school building reconstruction work, and discover their dreams for their work and what they hope to accomplish.

Date and Time: Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 9:35 to 11:30 (2-3 school hours)
Location: Classrooms 1 and 2, 6th grade, Kasugano Elementary School (3rd floor, North Building) (7-1-1 Miyamoto-dori, Chuo-ku)
Content: Graduation lesson “Dream for your job”
Career education (interview and observation) by people involved in construction
Sakura Project Initiatives
1) March 2023-: Original Kasugano Elementary School chorus song “Sakorairo” produced mainly by faculty and staff
2) May: Aerial photography of the playground and taking pictures of memories at the playground
3) May: Last field day held at the current playground Original dance performance (activities to continue)
4) July: Farewell assembly at the playground
5) (In progress): Removed due to construction cherry trees in the school yard, which were removed due to construction, were presented to the children as a memento of the event.
