Kobe City: Improvement of the Early Pediatric Emergency Medical Care System “Northern Pediatric Early Emergency Center

In order to provide emergency medical care for children on holidays and at night and to reduce the burden on secondary emergency medical institutions, the city has secured a pediatric initial emergency medical care system at the Kobe Children’s Initial Emergency Medical Center (Chuo Ward) and the Western Holiday Emergency Medical Center (Nishi Ward). However, many patients in case of emergency in Kita-ku are seen at the Kobe Children’s Emergency Medical Center, and the enhancement of the initial emergency medical care system for children in Kita-ku has been an issue.
Therefore, we will support the operation of the “Northern Children’s Early Emergency Center” newly established by Saiseikai Hyogo Prefectural Hospital in order to secure a system for consultation on holidays, etc. in a more familiar area and to further reduce the burden on secondary emergency medical institutions.
