Overview
On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, a representative of the group reported that “four of our friends from school days ate at a restaurant called Jidori-ya Sumikori in Chuo-ku on Wednesday, March 20, and three of them have been suffering from fever, diarrhea and other symptoms since Friday, March 22.
”
The Eastern Sanitation Surveillance Office of the city’s Public Health Center received a report to the effect that “three people had fever, diarrhea, and other symptoms since Friday, March 22.
As a result of the investigation, it was found that four out of the four members of one group who used the facility on March 20 (Wednesday) had symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, and abdominal pain since March 22 (Friday).
Since there was no common meal other than the one served at the facility, Campylobacter was detected in three patient stool samples, the symptoms were similar to those of Campylobacter food poisoning, and the doctor who examined the patients reported the food poisoning, the director of the Kobe City Public Health Center has determined that the food poisoning was caused by the meal served at the facility. The director of the Kobe City Public Health Center determined that the food poisoning was caused by food served at the facility, and ordered the facility to suspend operations for three days from April 4 (Saturday) to April 6 (Saturday).
