A limited three-day event, “Social Studies Tour for Adults,” will be held from April 19 to 21 at “AQUARIUM×ART átoa,” a theater-style aquarium in Chuo Ward, Kobe. The event is open to only two people each day, and is currently accepting applications for participation by lottery (applications will be accepted until April 14).
The event will be held on the occasion of “Breeding Day” on April 19. The work of zookeepers is not limited to feeding the animals, but also includes a wide range of other tasks, such as physical condition management and tank maintenance.
Normally, this kind of event is usually held for children, but this time it is for adults, with an age range of 18 years and older. Visitors can actually experience the work of a keeper, such as sorting and adjusting the amount of food to be given, cleaning the tank, and feeding in the columnar tank.
The person in charge says, “When we clean the tanks, we always think about it from the viewpoint of the customers and the viewpoint of the keepers who are observing the creatures. We hope that this experience will give visitors a chance to experience what our keeper, who loves living creatures so much, is thinking about.

Even adults are curious about the behind-the-scenes of aquariums! I am sure that many adults are curious about the behind-the-scenes of aquariums. However, since most of these events are held for children, this will be a very valuable opportunity for them.
