Kobe Fashion Plaza” on Rokko Island (Higashinada-ku, Kobe) will start projecting “projection mapping” from April 26.
The projection mapping is an initiative planned to enhance nighttime entertainment in the Rokko Island area on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Rokko Island. The projection will be held every day between 19:00 and 21:30 at 30-minute intervals.
The projection location is on the west exterior wall of Kobe Fashion Plaza. It can be viewed from the street on the side of Island Center Station on the Rokko Liner.
There are two types of projected works: “Seasonal Contents” and “Ocean Contents. The “Seasonal Contents” will be projected on a large, powerful screen, utilizing the Fashion Plaza’s distinctive exterior to depict the “Four Seasons of Kobe”.

The “Marine Contents” projection uses the building as a large aquarium tank to depict sea creatures swimming around. Dolphins, whales, killer whales, snapping turtles, octopuses, and other sea creatures will appear on the screen at different times depending on the projection.

This looks like quite a spectacle! The access from the nearest station is easy, so it’s a good point that you can go out whenever you feel like it.
