In order to improve the convenience of IC cards, the Kobe City Subway will introduce the Kobe City Subway Point Redemption Service (hereinafter referred to as “Subway Point Service”), which grants points for ICOCA usage in addition to the PiTaPa usage discount service.
In addition, sales of subway coupon tickets and city bus and subway NEWU Line cards will be discontinued, and only IC cards will be sold for subway commuter passes.

Points will be awarded based on the amount spent when a customer uses an ICOCA* registered for use at a station ticket vending machine more than a specified number of times on the same fare section of the subway.
(*Including Children ICOCA, Mobile ICOCA/Apple Pay ICOCA, SMART ICOCA, and KIPS ICOCA)

The points can be redeemed after the middle of the following month by recharging the ICOCA registered for use at a station ticket machine.

After the points are redeemed, they can be used as the recharged amount for boarding a train or for shopping.

Linkage with point services provided by Hanshin Electric Railway (including Kobe Kosoku Line), Hankyu Electric Railway, Nose Electric Railway, Sanyo Electric Railway, and Kobe Electric Railway
Scheduled time of introduction
- Start of registration: From the first train on Sunday, December 1, 2024
- Start of point calculation: From the first train departures on or after December 1, 2024 (Sunday)
Point types
- Normal points: 10% of the fare for the 11th and subsequent rides on the same fare segment 11 times or more per month.
- Daytime points: 10% of the fare after the 6th trip, if the rider rides the same fare section at least 6 times a month between 10:00 and 16:00, or on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Weekend and holiday points: 20% of the fare for the 6th and subsequent rides on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays when the same fare section is ridden 6 or more times per month.
