Sakura Circus Kobe Performance” will be held at a special venue near Minatojima Station on Port Island from June 22 to October 20.

Sakura Circus, a “big family circus troupe” led by Alan from Colombia, the fourth generation of a circus family that has been in existence for over 120 years, was launched in Wakayama Prefecture in 2020 and has performed all over Japan. The group’s powerful performances, such as trapeze and big wheel, have been well received in many places.

Among the many performances, the “Icarios,” a footwork by the two “Martinez Brothers,” in which they perform up to 50 consecutive somersaults on a human foot in 30 seconds, is a favorite of Sakura Circus. This is the best performance in the world and has won gold medals at seven major circus festivals and competitions in five countries around the world.

The “Aerial Taikyurin,” in which two circles (approximately 2 meters in diameter) intersect, is a dynamic performance by two artists dancing in mid-air that is truly a sight to behold.

The “Aerial,” which combines the skill and artistry of the performers, the “Flying Trapeze,” in which the performers ride a trapeze suspended from above the stage and perform various tricks and movements in the air, and the “Tightrope Walking,” which is synonymous with circus and provides a thrilling and nerve-racking experience.

The traditional circus character “clown” will also make an appearance!

Other fascinating performances such as “Trampoline,” “Roller Baller,” and “Hula Hoop” are also included in the program, and there will be plenty to see and do. Tickets are available at the official website.
