The 32nd Rokko City Marathon will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025 as follows.
The
“Rokko City Marathon” is a family marathon that started in 1990, soon after the opening of Rokko Island.
The marathon is held in five divisions, from the 1.2 km race for first- and second-grade elementary school students and their parents to the 10 km race for the general public, and attracts many runners from the Kansai region and other parts of Japan.
This year’s event, the first in two years, will be held as a special event to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.

3 Recruitment Period and Application Method
From Friday, August 30, 2024 to Monday, November 4, 2024 (scheduled)

Event guidelines will be announced in late August.
4 Capacity
10km: 1,200 runners, 5km: 600 runners, 3km: 300 runners, 1.8km: 500 elementary school students, 440 parent-child pairs (first-come-first-served basis for all events)

: The rules of the 2024 Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) Rules of Competition and Event Regulations shall apply.

All finishers will receive a web-based certificate of completion and all participants will receive a participation prize. This marathon will be held as a special marathon to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.
