A non-verbal, wordless stage performance “Circus no Hi” will be staged at Kobekkoland in Hyogo Ward, Kobe City, on August 2. Advance registration from the official website is required to see the performance, and will be accepted until July 21. If there are too many applicants, a drawing will be held.
The stage will be organized by the Rastrada Company, a company of clowns that tours around the country. It was established in 2018 by Chang and LONTO, who studied clowning in Japan and abroad, to pursue clowning and various forms of expression.
The story goes, “One day, a train carrying a circus arrives. At the end of the train was a pure white circus tent. Huh? We tried to start the circus, but a star fell down… What should we do? The story begins with this scene. Two clowns perform in a pure white Japanese paper circus tent.

Children try to tell their parents the stories they understand and feel without using words. I would love to share this experience with my own children.
