A special event, “Summer Vacation Quiz Rally,” will start on July 20 at Kobe Customs Office (Chuo Ward, Kobe City), which has been used as a location for many TV dramas and movies. The event will last until September 1, and admission is free.
The event is designed to let children learn about customs work while having fun during the summer vacation. Children who answer all the questions in the six quizzes about customs work posted in the museum’s public relations exhibition room will receive a badge as a present.
While preserving and utilizing the government building completed in 1927, construction of the current building, which was designed to resemble a ship, was completed in 1999, and the old dignified space and modern architecture match without any sense of incongruity.
The facility is also known as a filming location for movies and TV programs, and is sure to be enjoyed in conjunction with the atmospheric building.
