Sake pairing to accompany Italian cuisine, fireworks on August 11

OCEAN PLACE” (Chuo Ward, Kobe City) in Meriken Park, where the Port of Kobe spreads out before your eyes, will hold a “Sake Pairing Dinner” for three days only from August 9 to 11.

During this period, the restaurant will offer a special dinner featuring a full course meal from Italian appetizer to dessert with sake, and the popular “Kobe Port Weekend Fireworks” is scheduled to be held on August 10, from which the fireworks can be viewed from the restaurant.

This event is a great opportunity to enjoy Chef Kato’s special course, created just for this event, paired with sake, while enjoying the night view of Minato Kobe.

The restaurant’s resident sake sommelier will select sake from Hyogo Prefecture, Japan’s top sake brewing region, as well as refreshing sake for summer and sake that reflects the spirit of the brewer.

Non-alcoholic drink pairings are also available for those who do not drink alcohol.

We will offer low-alcohol, slightly sparkling sake and sweet sake to accompany desserts… Sake that is easy to approach even for those who do not usually drink sake, and that accompanies the elements of Italian cuisine, served in a wine glass. We hope that this will further broaden the enjoyment of sake beyond just pairing it with Japanese food.
