On August 24, the Bon dance event “An Evening of International Exchange: Nadeshiko no Bon” will be held at Kobe Winery (Agricultural Park) (Nishi-ku, Kobe), which has a barbecue area, pottery workshop, winery café, and other facilities. The event will be held in light rain and admission is free.
Since a university is located nearby, the event aims to deepen exchanges by dancing Bon Odori, a typical Japanese summer dance, together with international students and university students.
The event starts at 16:30 at dusk. After a bingo game in which all visitors can participate, the Bon Odori dance will begin at 6:00 p.m. Two 45-minute sessions will be held, one at 6:00 p.m. and the other at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to participate. Everyone can enjoy dancing to traditional Japanese folk songs and other music.
There will be booths selling beer, yakisoba, curry, shaved ice, etc. at the venue. Yukata rental (500 yen, tax included) and free dressing service are also available, so you can participate in the event in yukata (reservations must be made by phone in advance; international students and university students will be given priority if there are too many applicants).
