The 7th Akashi Young Artists’ Art Challenge” will be held at the Akashi Municipal Museum of Culture (Akashi City) from September 29 through October 6. Admission is free, and the exhibition will run until October 6.
The “Akashi Young Art Challenge” is an exhibition held as part of the Akashi City Museum’s efforts to open its doors to the community and provide a venue for high school and university students from the Akashi area to present their paintings, sculptures, and other outstanding works, with the aim of fostering human resources who will lead Akashi’s artistic and cultural activities in the future.
Participants not only exhibit their works, but also experience the process of creating an exhibition, from the arrangement of the works, to the setup of the exhibition and its removal, together with other participants and the museum staff. It is hoped that this will provide an opportunity for participants to interact with exhibitors from other schools and to inspire and enhance each other’s work through each other’s artwork.
This year, under the theme of “Deliver to You,” works created by artists who have thought about who they most want to see their works and the thoughts they want to convey to that person will be on display, allowing visitors to experience the fresh sensibility of these young artists.
In addition, gallery talks by exhibitors will be held on September 29 (from 10:30 am and 2:30 pm) and on October 6 (from 1:30 pm) to announce the winners and exchange opinions. No registration is required for either event, so feel free to attend.

<A word from the reporter>
This is the seventh year for this exhibition. This year’s exhibition, the seventh of its kind, will not only be an exhibition of works of art, but students will also participate in the actual work necessary to hold the exhibition, such as creating posters and setting up the exhibition venue. We are looking forward to seeing what kind of works will be presented based on the theme of this year’s exhibition.
