Enjoy Autumn Sports with the Whole Family “KOBE Sports” at Oji Park

On October 14, “Sports Day,” “KOBE Sports Trial Day 2024” will be held at various venues in Oji Park (Nada-ku, Kobe), including Oji Sports Center and Oji Stadium, where you can experience various sports. Participation is free.

In addition to a program featuring former track and field athlete and sports commentator Yuriko Kobayashi as a guest, there will be a variety of events for children and adults to participate in on the day (advance registration is required for some events). A digital stamp rally will also be held at the same time, making the event fun for the whole family.

On the day of the event, a “Challenge Sports Test” by Yuriko Kobayashi (Beijing Olympics 5,000m competitor) and a mini talk “Re-live the Olympic Excitement! and a mini-talk session titled “The Olympic Games: The Olympic Games Again! In addition to the 50-meter run, long jump, and ball toss, there will also be a 100-meter baton relay race for family and friends to participate in.

Other events include the “Everybody Do Radio Gymnastics,” in which a total of 1,000 people are expected to participate; the “Arco Kobe vs. Deuson Kobe Parent-Child Futsal Game,” a dream matchup between top local futsal teams; a “How to Run” class by the Konan University Women’s Track & Field Club; a “Kids Cheerleading Dance Experience”; and a “Beam Rifle Shooting Experience. The Oji Stadium will also host a variety of programs for children and adults alike.

In addition, the Oji Stadium will be specially equipped with the fun sports entertainment equipment that is very popular at Kobe Super Stadium, an indoor sports activity facility that opened on Rokko Island in March of this year. There will also be a booth in the Suidosuji Shopping Arcade with snacks, games, etc.

The sports season has finally arrived. Parents and children can move their bodies together and try fun programs! Personally, I am interested in “Naginata (halberd)” and “Shorinji Kempo (Shorinji Kempo),” which are usually hard to try.
