Autumn Foliage Begins to Change Color at Kobe City Forest Botanical Garden “Autumn Foliage Lights” in November

The website of the Kobe City Forest Botanical Garden (Kita-ku, Kobe) is being updated with the latest information on the best time to view the leaves, and currently the “Seattle Forest,” “Hase Pond area,” and “East Gate toll booth area” are beginning to change color. The area is expected to expand in the future, and visitors will be able to enjoy beautiful autumn colors throughout the park.

The Rokko Botanical Garden is a 25-minute drive from the center of Kobe City, where visitors can fully enjoy the vast nature of Mt. In the Forest Botanical Garden, visitors can see not only maple trees that are representative of autumn foliage, such as the Iroha maple, giant maple, Urihada maple, and Japanese maple, but also about 3,000 trees of 38 species that change color in autumn.

In addition, from November 3 to December 8, “Illuminated Autumn Leaves” will be held on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays. During this period, “metasequoia,” “yellow maple,” and “zelkova” will be illuminated to create a fantastic world of autumn colors.

During the period, photo benches and full-color illumination of large trees at the rotary under the hydrangea slope, as well as rental of glowing hydrangea umbrellas will be available.
