This series of stories is set in “Sentendo,” a candy shop that only the lucky can reach. Beniko, the owner of the store, recommends the perfect candy for your problems and desires, but if you eat it the wrong way or use it in the wrong way…. Will the candy bring good luck or bad luck? The story is popular for its tongue-in-cheek depiction of the horror of human desires.

The total number of copies sold has exceeded 4.6 million! A live-action movie is scheduled to be released in December this year. At the exhibition, a variety of materials will be on display, including cover illustrations, rare unpublished drawings, newly drawn rough drafts, and three-dimensional sculptures reproduced from the original illustrations.

The staff member in charge of the exhibition says, “There are many things to see, such as the counter of Beniko, the owner of “Sentendo,” which is a realistic reproduction of the world of the work, popular candy, and the golden beckoning cats’ workshop. We hope you will visit the charming Qiantendo.
