Kibei,” a katsudon specialty restaurant celebrating its 45th anniversary this November, is holding a special event to commemorate this milestone for one month only starting November 1. The event covers the Sannomiya main store, Asahidori store, Promena Kobe store, Motomachi store in Kobe, and Imazu Minatomachi store in Nishinomiya in the prefecture.
Founded in 1979 in Kobe’s Sannomiya Market, the restaurant’s katsudon is made from five ingredients: pork, rice, broth, breadcrumbs, and oil, and under the slogan “katsudon brings vitality to your life,” the restaurant has been delivering Kobe “katsudon” to customers.
In this year’s foundation festival, “Ham Katsu-don” will be offered at a special price until November 30. The ham katsu, made with the restaurant’s special bolognese sausage, is characterized by its thickness and robust flavor. It is very satisfying, and the topping of hot egg is recommended. The price is 500 yen (including tax) for a standard portion of 680 yen and 600 yen (including tax) for a tenkomori portion of 780 yen, and takeout is also available.
Also, the restaurant will hold a “Visit Stamp Day” on the official app, where customers who visit the restaurant between November 26 and 30 can accumulate five times the usual number of stamps, and receive a rank-up reward for ten stamps.
In addition, an “original T-shirt” commemorating the 45th anniversary is available for pre-order at the official online store. The limited quantity will be shipped sequentially from November 2.
The person in charge says, “Our staff will be waiting for you at the store wearing matching 45th anniversary T-shirts. We hope that everyone will enjoy the festival with us.

I often visit Promena Kobe, but I always end up having the tamago toji katsudon. I would like to take this opportunity to try the ham and pork cutlet bowl for only one coin.
