On January 5, “New Year’s Day: Let’s All Gather! New Year’s Day: Playing with Mukashi” will be held at the “Hyogo Prefectural Hyogo-zu Museum” in Hyogo-ku, Kobe City on January 5. No registration is required, and anyone can participate for free (a separate admission ticket is required to see the exhibition).
This event allows visitors to experience a variety of unique New Year’s activities. There will be a wide variety of games for adults and children of all ages to enjoy.
The “outdoor activities” include target practice, a Japanese pinball game, and rubber jumps, while the “indoor activities” include Sugoroku (Japanese backgammon game), “fukuwarai (happy laugh),” and “daruma-doroshi (dropping Daruma dolls). In addition, there will be performances such as candy crafting and plate spinning, allowing visitors to see, experience, and participate.
On the same day, “Tennyo Kagura,” a new generation bundle based on the theme of “Japanese mythology x rock sound,” will hold a mini live performance. The live performance will be held against the backdrop of Japanese-style architecture.

This is a rare opportunity to enjoy a variety of mukashi (old-fashioned) games unique to the New Year’s holiday all at once! I would like to take this opportunity to learn various games, some of which I may not know how to play.
