Weekend fun starts again this year! Kobe Port Weekend Fireworks” in February

Kobe Port Weekend Fireworks” will be held at Meriken Park (Chuo-ku, Kobe) on weekends from Feb. 7, 8, 14, 15 and 22 in February, and on the 1st and 15th in March, starting at 18:30 in February and 19:00 in March, for 5 minutes each day. Cancelled in case of stormy weather.

In order to create a lively atmosphere around Meriken Park, fireworks were launched irregularly in conjunction with events and commercial facilities, but since last year, the Executive Committee has started to announce the launch dates in advance on its website, allowing visitors to enjoy the fireworks mainly on weekends.

The fireworks in February are said to be exceptional in the clear air, and the brilliant glow of the fireworks in the winter night sky has a different atmosphere from that of summer.

Visitors can also enjoy the illumination of the “Valentine Light-up in Meriken Park” (which will be held until March 16) starting on February 7, as well as the fireworks that will be launched from right in front of the famous “BE KOBE” in Meriken Park.

The person in charge of the event says, “This is a great opportunity to enjoy the art of light against the backdrop of the winter night sky. We hope you will experience the beauty that is only possible at this time of year. Admission is free, so please come and visit us at the Port of Kobe.
